Story about Pityriasis Rosea .

A year with Pityriasis Rosea until I found a treatment that worked.

It started with a red spot, and spread all over- neck to ankles. I finally went to a dermatologist, after 9 months of itching and ugly rash. she biopsied the rash and said it was Pityriasis Rosea, and that most people only have it for 6 to 8 weeks. This was not helpful, since that was not happening in my case. She said there is no cure, and the doctors do not know what causes it. She gave me some steroids, and said it would probably resolve itself after a while....

I went home, researched on Google, and found many homeopathic "remedies". I was willing to try just about anything! Black soap had many followers, so I bought some and tried it. It made me dry and itchy. Bio oil was next. I saw no change. Tanning beds were recommended, but, since I live in Texas, and work outdoors, that certainly was not anything that was making a difference. Coconut oil was touted as having antiviral and antiseptic properties, as was honey, so I tried those. No change. Dandruff shampoo was said to dry the rash. It did, made it thicker and scaly, but did not make it go away.

There were regimens of cleansing and fasting, eating only certain foods, lots of vitamin C, garlic, and more, that I was afraid to try. Sounded too much like "smoke and mirrors" to me.

I found a cream on eBay (and available in other places too, that is just where I bought it) called Prreze. It is all natural, no chemicals, no steroids. Somewhat expensive, but, after over a year with Pityriasis Rosea, willing to spend the money. HEAVEN!!!!!! I bought the small sample size, and applied it just in one area according to instructions. Within about 20 minutes the itch there had stopped. By day 2, the rash had started to dry up and scale- like with the dandruff shampoo, so I was not optimistic. I did notice that the skin around it was not dry. By day 5 I had a patch of clear skin, with only a slight discoloration where the rash had been. I ordered a big jar. Slathered it everywhere this pernicious rash was. Waited. Stopped itching first day. Scaling second day. Rash disappearing third day. Skin clear for the first time in over a year by day five!!!!

It took another two weeks for the lighter areas of skin to even out to the same color as the rest of me.

I was ecstatic! I had skin again! I do not care how much it costs, having skin was worth every penny, I would gladly have paid 5, even 10 times as much!

People do not understand how debilitating, how embarrassing, how pernicious this rash is. Sure, it won't kill you. Sure, most people get it and get over it in weeks. In teh meantime, you have red roundish welts on your body. If you happen to have them on your arms, or neck, you don't want other people to see them, so long sleeves and turtlenecks. It looks a little like ringworm, so if people do see it, they think you have that. It itches!!!!! It doesn't itch like take your skin off scratching, just a low grade uncomfortable itch, that drives you totally crazy.

Dermatologists don't seem to care much because there is no cure, so nothing for them to charge you for in continued treatmants.

If you have it, or get it, or know someone who does, please tell them about Prreze.

Thanks for sharing your story. It worked for us too. My brother went through some embarrassing times with PR and let me tell you Prreze would have saved him so much humiliation, tears, and pain if we had found it sooner.

If you follow the instructions... it will have your outbreak clearing up by day 5 of putting the cream on liberally. Doctors, dermatologists and pharmacists need to know about this stuff.
