Born with spina bifida, repaired at birth,developed into tethered cord

neuro surgeon, neurologist

What has been the most useful thing for you so far?

I guess surgery?

What have been your biggest difficulties?

Pain, neuropathy, neurological issues, bowel issues, incontinence.foot deformaties.

How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?

yes....

What things have you stopped doing?

being active, walking, standing,having a social life.

What do you think about the future?

not optimistic.

So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?

adolescents till I was 37

What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?

Be more active,

If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?

limited, constant pain.

Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?

keep on,keeping on... Whatever that may look like.
