Hi! I am Zsófi, Sophie, I live in Budapest, In Hungary...I have had trich since my age 12.
I am(i try to be) a very active person, I love sports, music, playing on guitar, I am working as engeneer-informatics, but trich made my life very hard and makes every day harder.

I had a very cool childhood, but hair-pulling suddenly came and everything has changed.Unfortunately, we didn't know anything about this disorder in 1990's, so we didn't know, that there are therapies or solutions.
I made a secret about it for many years, and this was the most terrible period.
When my parents found it out, they said: you should stop, etc...my father has never understood why I didn't stop...
I am now 34 years...I am trying therapies(CBT ->it helps), alternative methods. Alternative methods, like acupuncture, can help me, but only in the short run...Meds, like SSRI are too strong for me, I haven't been able to take them for weeks or years.
At the moment, I am trying NAC, N-acetil-L-cistein...I am bald, I haven't got any hair, I wear wig :(

I do exercises, sport every day, it helps me in anxiety a lot. I suggest it to everyone :) But I haven't got final solution like millions.. :( I ordered books from USA., because in Hungary there isn't any book about trich and I want to know everything about this strange disorder. I try to make the first support website in our country, I collect infos, etc. I think, the first step, for child and young to know sg. about trich and not to hide it for years, like me. I am very happy because of facebook trich group and this initiation too, so I can feel, I am not alone in this big world :) This is me and my short story!(sorry about my english...)
