UCTD and me

Year Condition Began: 2020

I have been telling medical providers about vague pains in shoulders, arms, wrists , fingers and hips for many years. Have also reported dry skin with rashes, intercourse problems due to vaginal dryness and just last year was diagnosed with dry eyes. It was the ophthalmologist who encouraged me to ask for ANA testing.

After changing providers three times, finally found a doctor of osteopathy who took my complaints seriously. He ordered a multitude of lab work, echocardiogram and Holter monitor for the palpitations, low blood pressure and rapid pulse rate.

Finally the answer became clear. Doctor has encouraged me to continue as "normal" a life as possible by eating a diet rich in anti inflamatory foods, keep active, rest whenever I need to and take OTC pain meds as needed. He will continue to monitor every three months and is available to answer questions and concerns by email.
