Story about Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP) .

2010

Jul 22, 2016

i was first diagnosed back in August 2010 , and had my Dfsp removed but there were some cells remaining and I was told not to worry about it,long behold , I had another lump appear in the same region and this time it had infiltrated my sternocleidimastoid muscle and I had to have it removed to assume all the Dfsp cells and tissue was removed to, I had a 7 hr operation and have had a 20cm cut on my thigh to use the tissue and an artery to patch up my neck, I have constant pain in my right shoulder due to nerve damage and my left leg is still quite sore. I'm extremely grateful to the surgeons I had this time around as I've been told the got it all. But I'm so disappointed in the treatment I had back in 2010.
