How did all start?

Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
My GP was very prompt and it seemed that I was seen quickly and soon had the diagnosis
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Oral steroids, ventolin, exercise, psychotherapy, homeopathy
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Overcoming poor respiration, chest infections, tiredness. for example when the illness flares up I can't manage to do household tasks like changing the duvet cover. That is too strenuous, but when I am well I can do it.
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
My mother worries about me and I think she is quite frightened .
What things have you stopped doing?
walking up steep hills has never been a pleasurable activity for me , so I avoid this.
Apart from that I don't think there's anything. actually thats's not true. I've stopped smoking some years ago, I also am careful in damp atmospheres, and I'm not that bothered about gardening , because leaf mould
tec does set off the allergy.
What do you think about the future?
I think I am going to keep myself as well as possible and live a long life
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
I've had some great years for example when I was 43 began training in Martial arts and became a Master. I have stopped now and do more gentle exercise like Pilates. but recently I have taken up horseriding, which seems an odd thing to do at the age of 63 , especially as I am allergic to hay and fur etc.
