HPPD gradually decreases over a time span of years, even decades. This is dependent on the sobriety of the patient. I personally to date (almost 5.5 years) have noticed a drastic improvement. The first year was a rapid degeneration of symptoms to mild distortions, from then on it was a gradual decline. I still to date haven not ceased use of psychedelics.
