It took me almost 20 years to get my doctors to do something. High Calcium, High Parathyroid Hormone, Osteoporosis...and they STILL wanted to "wait and see". Don't ever do that. You should never, ever have high calcium and high parathyroid hormone at the same time. If you do, you have the disease. And 20% of people will test negative on all scans (I did, and had 2 glands removed). Many doctors just don't know anything, you have to be your own detective these days.
