Is it easy to find a partner and/or maintain relationship when you have Multiple myeloma?

People with experience in Multiple myeloma give their opinion on whether it is easy or not to have a partner or to maintain a realationship when you are diagnosed of Multiple myeloma. What are the possible difficulties in having a relationship?

This will vary greatly from person to person, and again, attitude plays a big role in this.

I think it's just as easy to find a partner after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma as it is before diagnosis. Some advice I would give to someone recently diagnosed is to really once you've excepted your diagnosis and you're going to live every day to its fullest and not dwell on your life expectancy then that's a good time to go out and find someone.

Relationships can be maintained or destroyed by multiple myeloma. It depends on your partner. My advice is treat each other with respect and love even when it's hard. Whether it's a new or old relationship.
