What are the latest advances in Achalasia?

Here you can see the latest advances and discoveries made regarding Achalasia.

I underwent surgery called POEM (Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy in the treatment of achalasia. After one month the symptoms returned, I started taking anticonvulsant, then CBD, and now have cannabis every 12 hours.

There is so much more information available online and medical research since I was first diagnosed in 2005 it's hard to keep a track of any advances. Back in 05, I remember doing an internet search and I only found one page and the originator was in SWEDEN!! I've found some fantastic support groups as well online and on Facebook (AAO - Achalasia Awareness Org) we all tend to keep each other updated. There's a focus/support group that is held in London on a monthly basis with special guest speakers, experts in the field of Achalasia. I can provide details if you want to contact me via this site.
