Emilia

My daughter Emilia was born 5/7/22 and was born with a red rash that was initially diagnosed as erythema toxicum. The rash started to go away until 5/18 when I noticed the a yellow crusty rash forming on her arm. The pediatrician sent us to the children's hospital for testing and observation. Over the next 3 days at the hospital, the rash spread to most of her body. She had several blood draws done, swabs were taken of the skin, she had a spinal tap, and she had a biopsy taken. The tests were able to rule out Herpes but the biopsy results wouldn't be back for almost a week . Doctors feel strongly that she has incontinentia pigmenti but we just have to wait for test results to confirm. The doctors were hesitant to provide details on this condition until we know for sure so I was hoping to get information and support through this site.
