Pain worse than all natural childbirth!

I have delivered with no drugs or procedures, all natural and can attest that a kidney stone pain is much more painful......as have passed more than 100 kidney stones.

i was 24 in 1978 and excited about recently becoming an RN. Working in ICU was my dream job and I was on top of the world and then that world crashed down around me.....crippling pain in my back and under the rib cage and frequent kidney infections, nausea and vomiting. The lethargy and fatigue I faced severely interrupted my life. The diagnosis of MSK and duplicated ureters (4 instead of 2) with multiple stones embedded in both kidneys, plus the advice to never have children was devastating. Not much known about it and with no internet yet, I felt in the dark.

Now at age 61 I realize that we pull out the strength to go on, from deep within. The pain that walks beside me in life has not killed me, and has not kept me from two beautiful daughters and a rewarding and successful nursing career.

So you have two Ureters. I find that to be interesting. I just found out at the beginning of the year I have dual arteries to each kidney. Only 20% of the worlds population has that. In my opinion, MSK is definitely a birth defect.
