As of 2018 there is currently no known cure or disease modifying treatment to stop or slow the progression of multiple system atrophy. There are however many treatments available to alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life. There is no treatment for this disease, although there are treatments for some of the more difficult symptoms, especially Midrodine (and others) for the Orthostatic Hypotension. In early stages, som Parkonsinian symptoms respond to Parkinson’s medications.
