How did all start?
It all started with a feeling of dizziness with a small intake of alcoholic beverages, like just a beer. Then this dizziness became permanent and, later on, motor symptoms began, with difficulties in moving the left leg correctly.
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?

For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Neurology
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
Depends on the context.
In terms of medication, the introduction of Ongentys made all the difference, as well as a sleeping pill, as I was already insomniac.
In terms of human aid, a great friend.
In terms of stimulation, the frequency of a day center and my friend.
In terms of technical aids, a walker (which I can no longer use), support bars in each bathroom, wheelchair and electric scooter, which allows me to leave the house and walk long distances, go to shows, events, etc.
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Lack of balance, lack of motor coordination to walk, wear and write, difficulties in oral communication
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
They have changed a lot. I have very few visits and my most frequent social contacts are almost only with a great friend and the people at the day care center
What things have you stopped doing?
Almost everything now.
I need help for everything and I just leave the house accompanied.
What do you think about the future?
I feel sad to be like this and not know if I'm going to get better
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
The years when I was completely autonomous and could do everything I wanted, like driving, traveling and promoting lunches at my home for my family and friends
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Leaving the house whenever I wanted, without help, driving my car, traveling
If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
I was happy until this disease
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Try to make the most of life as much as possible
