My cancer story.

I was diagnosed with ACC in early 2013, after a long time of really poor health and going from one doctor to a nother to find the reason. I suffered from high blood pressure, insomnia, mood swings, every little exercise would put me out of breath and make me ill for days. I had gained a lot of weight in very little time, I got dark facial hair and I had fire red stretch marks all over my body. My legs where swollen with edema and no shoes would fit any more. Drawing blood was horrible as my veins would just burst when poked and leave me with blue and black hematoma.
Even though I showed every symptom in the book it took a very long time to get the right diagnosis.
When my tumor was found, it was already 11 x 9 cm but luckily had not invaded anything. I had surgery in March and the tumor was removed, but it ripped during surgery. So even though I was stage 2 with clear margins, I had to go through 2 rounds of EDP Chemo and nearly 5 years of Mitotane.
In the end it was all worth it, I’m still here and I’m cancer free!
