APS

I was dx'd in 2008 at the age of 46. I had sinus surgery a couple weeks prior to being stricken with severe bilateral calf pain. No swelling or redness. I was crawling to the bathroom due to the pain of trying to walk! I started feeling very I'll. Weakness, sleepy, nausea and basically unable to lift my head off my pillow. Husband finally talked me into going to the ER. I'd called the surgeon and my PCP 4 times during a 5 day time span. The ER doc sent me for a chest CT and said I was lucky to still be alive. I had multiple bilateral pulmonary emboli! No reason, just happened. Further testing determined a positive LAC and ACA.
