The National Aspergillosis Centre, Manchester, UK

The UK National Aspergillosis Centre (NAC http://www.nationalaspergillosiscentre.org.uk/) is based at the renowned North West Lung Centre, Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester, UK. It is part of the Infectious Diseases service and provides expert infection management and is commissioned by the UK Department of Health to provide long term care for patients with chronic pulmonary aspergillosis.

The centre has been commissioned by the UK NHS Department of Health to provide long term care for patients with chronic pulmonary aspergillosis. It is a national and international leader in developing expertise in the clinical management of chronic pulmonary aspergillosis (CPA), ABPA, severe asthma with fungal sensitivity (SAFS) with sophisticated diagnostic testing and monitoring for patients with these conditions.

Developing research, knowledge, and expertise in this area, supports the advancements in high-quality clinical care required to contribute to the care of patients with all forms of aspergillosis.

The National Aspergillosis Centre is an internationally recognised ECMM Centre of Excellence (https://www.ecmm.info/ecmm-excellence-centers/excellence-centers/) and is part of the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre at Manchester (https://www.manchesterbrc.nihr.ac.uk/).
