in 2000 i noticed getting in and out of my chair at work didn't feel right. i went to my neuro and he knew right away it might be ataxia. it runs in my family. my mom was misdiagnosed with MS around 1960. i had the genetic testing and it was clear i had cerebellar ataxia type 2. in 2007 i started getting constantly dizzy. i went to doctors the only doctor that helped moved to NJ after hurricane Sandy. i'm in a wheelchair for fear of falling. i broke my ankle in 2010 from a stupid fall and the doc at this hospital didn't give me proper therapy. it's only recenntly ataxia is becoming known. it still has a long way to go towards a treatment maybe a cure. i should be exercising more, that is supposed to help. good luck to all that are affected by something.
