Jessie's uninvited guest

Late February of 2017 I went to Prov my regular yearly exam and the doctor requested a Baseline mammogram. After receiving mammogram I was called back because of three spots in question on my left breast. Upon receiving a second mammogram including ultrasound of left breast I was referred to have a biopsy of two places on left breast. After the biopsy I was diagnosed with dcis. I was then referred to have a MRI with contrast which they found a questionable spot on my right side requiring a biopsy of right breast. Finding was non cancer. The oncologist said I would have to have a skin and nipple sparing mastectomy with immediate reconstruction using expander. That procedure was done April 27th 2017 with a sentinel node biopsy also which came back as clear. Pathology report found 5 mm of invasive cancer what produced clear margins therefore I will not require chemotherapy or radiation but I will require 8 years of tamoxifen therapy. Before my diagnosis my husband and I we're going to begin IVF cycle and my oncologist has advised that it is safe to continue IVF after reconstruction process and delay tamoxifen therapy until after pregnancy.
