Out of the Blue

One day at work I turned my head right to look at something, and when I tried to turn left it was like I got stuck. My head forgot how to turn left. So for weeks I discovered tricks to make my head turn left. Since I worked the front desk at a busy doctors office I didn't want people to know I had something wrong with me. If I touched or tapped the right side of my head it would turn. So I had to pretend I either had an itch or acted like I felt something in my hair.

That was back in 2014. Even though I worked for 2 doctors it took me a while to ask for help. However my symptoms just got worse. I changed offices thinking it was stress related. But that didn't help either. Emergency room doctor was at least honest and said I needed a neurologist because he really couldn't do anything but give me morphine. Finally found a neurologist that would give Botox injections, but even he had to send me to a pain management clinic. I was so bad that the pain management doctor sent me to a bigger facility because of the severity of my symptoms.
