A Norwegian DNA story

I had my parents as well as my own DNA done to help me in ancestry research. My Father being mostly German, my Mother Norwegian. Can I say we grew up loving sauerkraut and pickled herring.

In Ancestry research I learn that both my parents ancestors arrived in the early to mid 1800's settling in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

I live in Wisconsin and enjoyed meeting with 12 women, and one man with Fuchs dystrophy all with Norwegian blue/green eyed ancestry. Some have multi-family members effected. I have 4 siblings none showing signs of this disease.

I had my transplants in 2015. I wish I could say I had the best of result. My first DSEK transplant was textbook perfect. The second DSEK five months later was not good. Rejection was realized within 24 hrs. Prednisone drops and oral meds was eventually enough to please the surgeon with viability of the cornea. I however was left with dry eye and double vision and adrenal insufficiency secondary due to the prednison use.
