LGS

LGS may usually be diagnosed at a younger age like 3-5, but my daughter was 10 and in 4th grade when she started having seizures. Her neurologist at DHMC was surprised when she was coming out of status epilepticus, after a couple days of IV therapy and she was reading & her neurologist said to the residents that she was only looking at the pictures! I suggested he go in and ask her what she was reading, as she was reading at age 4 and still enjoys reading at age 33. She is currently on 5 anti-epileptics, plus CBD oil capsules, and doing fairly well & still enjoys reading. The CBD capsules she's been on for +/-6 months has made a very positive difference in her life -- we can now ask her a question and she can answer almost immediately! Used to be she'd answer 5-10 minutes later, we'd gone on to other thoughts and didn't necessarily recall what she was talking about! Now she'll answer almost immediately, a "Wonderful Change!"
