My story

In August 2013 I started to get a headache that never stopped. The pain was so intense it was like I was being hit in the back of the head by a baseball bat and at the same time I was having frontal pain. After checking it wasn’t teeth, or eyes and also with the physio. The physio found it was coming from the Occipital area. My Dr diagnosed me with ON. Then after seeing a couple of specialist who were no help I saw the Pain specialist this year 2015 and she confirmed the diagnosis and suggested a nerve block. It didn’t help.  I have found physio for the neck does help. I am also on medication and have tried several with many not helping. I am currently on sodium valproate which is helping. I was also able to do a pain course this year and have accepted this condition. While I don’t want it I found accepting went a long way to helping deal with it. The thing that annoys me most is I am super sensitive to noise so many of my favourite things I can no longer do due to the noise.
