12,year old daughter bilateral ocd knee lesions and surgical fixation

My daughter was 12 with knee pains here and there when playing sports finally saw a specialist at childrens Dr Carl Nissen part of the rock group that studies this disease well we walked in and she walked out on crutches one surgery on the left march 20tj which was in a weight bearing area of the knee she had second surgery on right June 26th in an area where jumping and stairs affected her well I'm happy to say after 9 months of appt and therapy she was cleared October 12th to start competitive sports and she has had No pain no swelling some soreness and her ankle had tendonitis from not using it so she has learned to stretch a lot and ices after every game and practice to keep her knees in good shape as basketball and soccer are her life basketball being #1 she's 13,now and still takes her vitamins I believe they did help in her recovery she was down sometimes wanting to play sports so bad but let me tell you she has come back stronger then before mentally and physically I'm so proud of her
