My story

I inherited type 1 OI from my dad who passed away when I was 5 years old. I had my first fracture at 9 months old, and have since had a further 24 breaks. I have metal work in my left wrist, left femur and left knee and have recently had some removed from my right knee. Ive had 15+ orthopaedic operations and received pamidronate for a number of years when I was a child. I suffer with chronic pain and take Amitryptiline for this, as well as having anxiety, depression, PTSD & an eating disorder. I take a number of anti depressants and beta blockers and have CBT & EMDR and attend an ED clinic
