July 13 2015 was a day that changed me forever

What does everyone do, that are 43 but go to work and come home and cook supper for your family! Who new 3 hours later I would rushed by my husband to the ER because I was throwing up blood! I don’t remember much after that but being air lifted to a bigger hospital! I miss my oldest daughters 16th birthday and what hurts me is she dressed up in my favorite dress of hers to come to the hospital to pray I made it thru the night! 7 days later I woke up to see my parents and learn I lost most of my stomach and all but 27 cm of my short bowel and my life would never be the same as it was! They told me I would have to live on IV feedings of TPN for the rest of my life. Man they didn’t know me. Yes I was on TPN for 18 hours, then with research and talking to other suffers I found Omaha Medical Center and Dr Rochling and team! Soon I was down to 12hours a day and then 18 months for surgery i was completely off of TPN and just on IV dextrose infusions 6 hours a day! I beat many odds but no one thought I would make it to where I am today. At 2 1/2 years later my port is out, no more infusions of any kind! I live life day to day and no I am not working yet cause some days are still pretty bad, but I am alive!
