Kellie's Journey

My problems began at the end of 2019 when my husband rushed me to the hospital and I was admitted for acute inflammation of the Appendix and it was going to be removed the next day. After getting me set up into a room, my husband left and I was cocktailed just enough to substation the pain when all of a sudden I hear and feel a "POP" if you will, tried to stand up and couldn't as the nurses were trying to get me off of the floor. My appendix ruptured and I was rushed in for an emergency full appendectomy. After spending 4 days in the hospital I finally got to go home. Now I went home with a drain to make sure the area didn't become infected, and visited the surgeon for the following 3 week which then they decided when I come back the next week they'd be removing the drain. I went to the appointment thinking maybe there would be a light sedation because well.. the drain was somewhere inside my stomach and they were pulling it out. Which is exactly what she did...counted to three and RIPPED the drain out of my lower stomach. From that point on my health deteriorated to being diagnosed with SMAS, unable to eat and barley keep liquids down. To having a bypass surgery only to end up with an ulcer (which is the whole reason all of this started) and still not feeling the greatest about the rate my health is going.
