Me

I was diagnosed with Addisons when I was about 21, I think that it had been coming on for about a year and I lost lots of weight over a long period of time so it wasnt really noticeable. At the time of my diagnosis I was really struggling to cope with normal everyday tasks, very fatigued, struggling to get out of bd and only just over 7stone in weight.

Once I was diagnosed though they pumped me full of hydrocortisone and within 2 weeks I was transformed, eating again and feeling pretty good.

Over the past 20 years i have got used to it, i take my tabs in the morning usually, 20mg hydro and fludro and then thats it for the day unless I feel a bit fatigued in the afternoon when I might have some more.

Luckily for me it doesnt affecrt my life too much, I have no other problems, I do quite active sports and have 4 lovely children.

I just had to get used to knowing when my body was under pressure or stressed and needed some more drugs and life is good.

:-)
