MCS

I have been suffering from MCS for most of my life. In my late teens, I didn't care for strong perfume because the scent would rest on my tongue and make everything taste bland. In my thirties, strong perfume would give me an immediate headache so I learned to avoid and do shallow breathing and hold my breath. In my forties and fifties, I negotiated a ban of Febreze and asked my wife to refrain from using perfume around me. Now in my sixties, I have to insist that they enforce their no perfume policy at work in order to be able to concentrate on my work. Over the last few months, I have been subjected to perfume pollution that would give me headaches, numbness in my lips, feelings of anxiety and severe brain fog that would greatly impact on my ability to work to my full potential. Fortunately, HR is sympathetic to my situation and is looking for a way to accommodate me. It was a few days ago when I was investigating if there are any air purifiers that would reduce chemicals so that I could breathe easier that I found out what I have been suffering from all this time. MCS.
