A Encephalitis interview .

Sheryl's interview

How did all start?

Co-worker was abusively with his cologne habit. It was slowly killing every cell in my body.

Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?

Nearly 2.5 years before I found the right specialist who did a DNA test and proved what I had been saying and removed me from work.

For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?

Natural therapies without synthetic drugs work best for me because of polymorphisms and missing genes that prevent me from detoxing my liver and lungs.

What has been the most useful thing for you so far?

Abstinence and reclusive lifestyle along with natural therapies prescribed by my doctor have enabled me to halt the progression toward death.

What have been your biggest difficulties?

It's nearly impossible to avoid toxins because they're in every product on the market and everyone uses them, so I cannot participate in social events or excursions without toxic exposures.

How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?

I rarely get out of my house or have visitors. To do so would risk further brain damage due to exposures.

What things have you stopped doing?

I've stopped almost everything. In fact, I have to set reminders to do things because I can't remember to do even basic things like grooming and household chores. Out of sight: out of mind.

What do you think about the future?

I'm taking life one day at a time. I can't go back or it'll kill me. I have my hypoallergenic dogs to keep me company.

So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?

I've lived a wonderful life with travel to various countries and raised 4 fantastic kids. I've climbed the corporate ladder and become notorious as a go-to person for difficult projects. I've owned my own company doing what I love and paid well for it. I re-invent myself to improve daily. I'm a knowledge nut who loves to learn new things. I just wish I could remember them.

What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?

I would revive my company and help others with their computer data mining and automation from a virtual office wherever I chose to be that day. I might even get into dog grooming and training. I'd most certainly spend more time with family.

If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?

I'm a fitness and knowledge geek whose life has been moved to the back burner to simmer.

Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?

Get a DNA test for detox pathways. Avoid your triggers. Use natural therapies, not synthetic drugs. Treat the cause, not the symptoms!
