Story about Encephalitis .

Sam

Mar 30, 2016

8 month old son contracted HSV1 encephalitis in April of 2015. He is now almost 20 months old and doing relatively well. He has noticeable developmental delays in exp/rec language as well as gross/fine motor skills, but through therapy he is making progress. EEGs show ripe environments for seizures but Keppra has kept them at bay on a dose of about 28/mg/kg/day.

Feel free to reach out as you or somebody you love walks the road of recovery from this awful disease. Not all survive it, so feel to reach out too because I can't imagine anything is more difficult than losing a loved one.
