Summers story

Summer started with pain in her right leg, took her to doctors, was put down to growing pains, after a cpl of weeks her left leg started sticking out at the bottom when she walked, the more she walked the more it stuck out, X-ray & scan were fine, bloods showed an infection, mri the next day showed an infection in the muscle on her pelvic bone, so she was started on antibiotics and kept in hospital, after the week she was still walking funny so another mri was done, antibiotics hadn't touched the infection so she was booked in for surgery to flush the pus from around the infection, (surgeon said it was the worst he had seen), they found a hole in her hip bone near the socket so she wasn't allowed to walk, then the doctor informed me she had LCH, she spent 3 weeks in hospital then a further 9 weeks in a wheelchair, she's now allowed to walk but no running, jumping or climbing, her last mri showed something on her right thigh bone, but oncologist decided no treatment for now, so hopefully her next mri next month shows nothing, she gets tired easily these days & her appetite has got worse, she doesn't eat as much as she should, thankfully her classroom at school was moved to the ground floor till June so at least she doesn't have to climb stairs all day.
