Phyllodes

At my yearly my Gyno asked if we have talked about a harder area under my right breast.  I told him no, he said they would get a better look on the mammogram.  I scheduled a diagnostic mammogram.  They took the pictures asked me to wait to make sure they had what they needed, then the technician came back and told me there was actually something on the left they wanted more pictures of.  They did more then I waited again, then she came back for more this time making measurements as well.  I was starting to get a little scared.  When she was done I went to a small waiting area.  Then another technician came in to let me know they wanted an ultrasound.  During that the radiologist came in to let me know there is a small lump and I would need a biopsy.  During the biopsy they also left a metal clip in as a marker.  I received a call a few days later it was an aggressive type of tumor a d needed to see a surgeon.  My surgery was 4 days after the meeting with the surgeon.  The results are that is is not cancer, they got all of it with good margins.  The downside is that this can grow back.  I was told to do monthly breast exams and make sure to have mammogram on time.  The worrisome thing is this lump was deep, almost against my chest cavity so nobody felt it to begin with.  I am going to start eating healthier and exercise more in hopes of staying healthy.
