A Sjogren story

It all started in the summer of 2003. I had a really bad pain in my knees and contacted my doctor. She took a lot of tests and found really high rheumatological markers in my blood. So she sent me too our local hospital and one of our topp professors in Sjögrens. He diagnosed me and started me on medicins. Thanks to him im able too work full time now. How ever it has taken a long time for me to realise my condition and that if i work full time i need a quiet free time.

Last year i got the possibility to join a study about Sjögrens and biological meds. I have done that for a year and so far i am feeling much better. I am still tired and in some pain but over all i feel a little less sick.

My eyes and mouth are still dry but i can manage it and over all i can live with it. I have come to realise that my life today with my man Mr Sjögren is my new normal and that i just have to accept it.

I am ill and its for life :)
