My first Neuro put me on mestinon and once on prednisone. I was not in need of the prednisone but he gave it to me just because I was in the ER. Not MG related but the Staff called him and 60 mg od prednisone is his standard procedure . I think he just was an arrogant man. I swallowed mestinon all day and time release at night.He was my Neuro for 5 yrs and every question I asked was answered with " I have been a Neurologist for 40 yrs.Don't worry about it. If you can't breathe , come to ER" . That is all I ever heard. My new Neuro , after I moved , insists I am occular only without ever having tested anything but my handshake. I have breathing issues to the point where I I can not go grocery shopping and sometimes get short of breath walking to the mailbox , It is getting worse by the day but there's no help. Good Neuros are like a needle in a haystack.
