My Adverse Drug Reaction

I had gone to one hospital with a severe rash, I met a physician who know exactly what this was. I was transfered to the Burn Unit, where I received an active coat treatment and my body wrapped in guaze. With IV medication and constant lotion applied to my skin, my body then began to "sloth" I was covered!! My back was the worst, it was the most painful burn I have ever experienced. For 2 weeks, after my body went black, my skin continued to peel. My eyes watered constantly. Very difficult to swallow.

I was sent home, with a regiment of daily lotion, eye drops. Wearing sunglasses and a hat as my skin was so very sensitive. A few weeks later, all of my nails fell out, and eye brows, eye lashes and some hair loss. I was horrifed!!!

So painful. I stayed indoors until all of my skin came off.

I wear spf clothing under my clothes, I am hyper sensitive to some indoor lighting and the sun! My body is still healing, but the stress of it all....actully made me stronger. I am determined to help as many as I can.

Thats why I became a volunteer!
