Depends on the person, however most of the people I know who have the disease, have relationships, stable or have had relations with previously, as in all things, this mainly depends on many factors and not just the XLH.
Always advise to talk with our partner about how we affect the disease, and also plan properly if you want to have children or not, because that is a very important point for us to know that there is a high probability of passing the disease (in women 50/50, and in males to all daughters).
To keep a relationship to be happy in such a relationship, if you're happy, sincere and honest with your feelings and emotions, I do not see because an disease could negatively affect a bond.
