Kris's interview
How did all start?
I was born with primary Addison’s Disease.
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
I was diagnosed at age 12 but I had been having regular Addison’s crisis since birth.
I also have Mosaic Turners Syndrome and had Aortic Aneurysm repair in April 2019
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
I go to an endocrinologist at Swedish Hospital in Issaquah. I had open heart surgery at Virginia Mason in Seattle.
What have been your biggest difficulties?
I am currently being tested for MS. The pain is the hardest thing.
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
No, my fan and friends treat me like anyone else.
What things have you stopped doing?
I never stop doing anything. If I want to do something I find a way.
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
I don’t know. I have always had them so it is normal for me.
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Get a really good specialist and don’t take no for an answer.
