My mom was diagnosed with ACC only 3 weeks before her passing.
She suffered with uncontrollable high blood pressure for 3 years , terrible mood swings , and abdominal cramping alot of the time assuming it had to do with having to use the bathroom. Doctors tried her on several medications for her blood pressure and it never helped her. In May 2019 her feet and legs swelled triple the size and it made it difficult to walk on them. In July 2019 she was having difficulty breathing , the doctors were only doing bloodwork , telling her they were 90% sure it was NOT cancer. In September she was SUPPOSED to get a CT on her adrenal glands after she had done some research online and had suggested it to her doctors , and turned out to drive 2 hours from home to find out it was only a consult. She decided then and there to self admit herself ... that same day she was put in for a XRAY (which should have been done in July) resulting in fluid in her lungs and a lung mass. They then did a full body CT to see if it had spread to her lungs from another area. They discovered a mass on her adrenal gland , liver , lung , and heart. They took her in for a closer imaging on her lung mass , and also took a sample for a biopsy. After a week and a half of waiting results came back as Adrenal Cancer. They decided they needing more experienced doctors to look at it. They then decided it was far to advanced for treatment and gave her 3-4 months to live. She passed 3 days later at the age of 56. Be the best advocate you can for youself that is my advice to anyone suffering this nasty disease.
