What is the prognosis if you have Aortic aneurysm? Quality of life, limitations and expectatios of someone with Aortic aneurysm.
Most cases there are no symptoms , normal life expectancy unless the aneurysm ruptured

Protocol is watch and wait until time to surgeically repair. After an uncomplicated surgery, our life expectancy is the same as if we had no aneurysm.

The study found that short-term crude, or actual, survival rates improved among patients who underwent surgery to repair a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm. The relative survival rate held steady at about 87 percent. On average, patients who underwent repair for a ruptured aneurysm lived 5.4 years after surgery.
