35 yo Aortic Dissection out of blue

Was working at home suppose to be on the road traveling for work. My customer cancelled appt. After taking calls 930am I had tremendous pain in my neck and felt nauseated. The longer it went the worse I felt. I progressively lost feeling in my right side of my body and became paralized. I called my friend to come and get me take me to the hospital. We went to the ER in which they mistook symptoms for "drug abuse". I have never used drugs in my life and as a RN I asked them to do drug screen and alcohol. The Emergency room I went to was busy. So I sat. Nothing happen til 530pm in the afternoon. I began vomiting frank blood and clots. The did a stat EGD or took scope down my throat look at my stomach. The Gastroenteroligist stated "...did anyone do a CT scan with constrast? This paitent has massive mucosal ischemia most likely from an Aortic Dissection." They did scan me and found I was dissected from Aortic root down to the femoral biphercation, both renal arteries, messentary arteries, tore aortic valve and dissected bilater carotid arteries. The facility I was at made the decision to fly me to the Ohio State Ross Heart Hospital where a great team worked on me in surgery for about 14 hours. Was making a full recover after being given a 5% survival rate and I had every postoperative complication you could imagine. Perferated bowel, C-Diff, MRSA, Aspergillus, kidney failure, liver failure and allergic to heparin=HITS. My course took an addtional 3 months to heal which I did. I have since had revision surgeries for weaken abdominal wall as well as attempts to improve my renal artery circulation. I am very compliant with my medication regimine follow doctors orders and have been a 10 yr survivor!
