I was diagnosed the summer before 9th grade due to vertigo. I was put in contact with the amazing doctors at Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania. I went a year and a half until I needed surgery due to an increase in symptom severity. My arms, legs, and face would go numb. I would lose strength in my arms and legs. I have vertigo (room spinning as well as inside my head off balance). I suffered with all of this for a year and a half until I had surgery my sophomore year in high school, 5 years ago. Fast forward to today. I am a junior health science major with a concentration in nutrition at Ithaca College! I have my life back and am as active as I was prior to my diagnoses. I have been entremely lucky to regain my life back, there are good days and there are some not so good. But each day is a gift and I have hope for more to come!
