My Now 16 year old Daughter's Struggling with Chiari

My daughter had been what we thought at the time was Migraines ever since she was old enough to tell me that her head hurt. Her headaches would get so bad she would end up throwing up. She also would sleep walk every night. We kept taking her to her pediatrician and he kept treating her for migraines and as she got older it started getting worse! She would come in from school and run to the bathroom and throw up and then sleep until I woke her up for supper! Then one day when she was 12 years old she came to me and said mom my head is killing me and my right eye keeps feeling like someone is stabbing me in it no I keep loosing vision in it! I started getting worried so I made another doctor's appointment but this time I demanded that they do a MRI this time! This was right before her 13th Birthday, then we get the call and they say they found something and it is called Chiari Malformation and that she needs to go to a specialist in Louisville, Kentucky. So we did and that was when they told us that they needed to go into the back of her head and make room to be able to flow the way it is suppose to and it was called decompression surgery. So we scheduled it only because if we didn't they said that it could eventually paralyze her from her neck down or possible kill her, plus they told us that she would feel so much better after the surgery and he promised her that it would not by no means make it worse and at that point I as a mother was so scared that I didn't bother to get a second opinion or check into the surgeons to make sure they was qualified to do the surgery! We went through the surgery and the following days was good and we thought it worked! Then the symptoms slowly started coming back until the pain was unbearable to her and way worse than it was before the surgery, and she had more problems than before the surgery! We kept going to doctors and had so many doctors look at my 13 year old daughter and tell her she that her surgeon did what he was suppose to do and that she just needed to suck it up and learn how to deal with the pain! Then we went back to her surgeon for a follow up and he says everything looks good and your cured so I am going to release you and you don't have to come back unless you start having problems again! I said WHAT, she is still having problems and your going to just release her when she is worse then she ever was before I let you cut my daughter's head open, but that didn't matter to him at all, and he still released her from his care! Since then we have went to doctors after doctors and each time my daughter would leave their offices in tears feeling like no one who ever fix her or help her! They just kept giving her migraine medicine and medicine that didn't help her at all and my daughter gave up on all the doctors and would not let me take her to another doctor, she did what those doctors kept telling her to do, she sucked it up and dealt with what she was going through. From all that medicine she gained a lot of weight so she stopped all the medicine and then she got so depressed, even more than before so last year she took a whole bottle of her Topamax in an attempt to overdose to get out of the pain she is in and if it wasn't for a friend of her's she would not be here today! So I decided I would not let anymore doctors say anything to hurt her anymore and I talked her into going back and trying one more time, and we did and this new neurologist we went to is really trying and being nice to her and she had told Haley that if this very last thing she wants to try doesn't help her then she will refer her to the Chiari specialist in Ohio! So please keep my beautiful daughter in your prayers that we finally get the help she and I have been looking for now for a very long time! Thank you
