How did all start?
Migraines lots and lots of them from a very early age
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
I have been diagnosed with a vein of galen malformation. I went to the doctors for 3 years straight pushed away told I was a liar! I was diagnosed when I was 16/17
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
I've not been treated
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
They haven't done anything
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Coming to terms with everything
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
They wanted to forget and not talk about it. I have been left to it! Questions unanswered for 4/5 years!
What things have you stopped doing?
Taking risks that aren't worth risking my life for!
What do you think about the future?
I am hopeful to love my life the best I can without a worry
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
When i didn't know I had an Avm I enjoyed life Alot more doing the stuff i loved.
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Jump out a plane, scuba dive. Travel everywhere
If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
Wasted. Un for filling. Going round in circles. Doing the same stuff everyday
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Find someone to talk to. Never be alone. Do the things you love and enjoy. Always be hopefully never hide who you are! If your not okay tell someone!
