Late Onset

I lived in Wyoming and it all started with a very hurtful small toe on the left food. I went to a podiatrist who said I had a hammer toe. He cut a part of the bone from my toe and sewed it back on. After this on office surgery I had numbness in my feet and fingers. He said I could have reynauds from the surgery. Fast forward to 2000, I was on a small Boat in Cabo Mexico and broke my ankle. When doing physical therapy they noticed the foot that was not broken was worse than the broken one. Every joint in my foot was frozen. The tendon in the back of my ankle was shortened and I could not walk on my heels. Painful PT got the joints and the tendon fixed, but aloI had drop foot. I was 50 years old at that time and flew to the Mayo Clinic in Arizona and diagnosed CMT2. Since no one in my family had this disease, I was not sure I’d I should belief this. Until I got AFOs about 5 years ago, I was falling daily. Could no longer keep my shoes on as my toes stopped gripping and it was painful to walk. My toes turned gray and were numb. My balance was terrible. Took a DNA test that came back inconclusive. I no longer have pain in my feet since I did the Pranayamea breathing daily for two years. I am trying to keep active when the weather is nice. I have been ill with bronchial, pneumonia issues 7 months of last year. Was in bed most days, immune system seems to be not working like it should. Just got a tricycle to get some exercise, and also swim when I can. I do aerobic e exercise in the hot tub. I will be 70 this year.
