Story about Cluster Headaches .

Clusters in remission

Jul 26, 2016

By: AL

It has been 12 years (I was 40 years old) since my last long term episodes of clusters. Thyey were the worst pain that I had experienced during my previous clusters. My first ones when I was 16, then again at 18 & 23. I had a small bout around a year ago, but they only lasted a couple of days. It was strange because I though that I would be going to go through several months like the last time.

Nothing seemed to help. I was doing oxygen, injections and strong pain killers. It would take two dosed of demeroll at the ER to make them go away. Eventually I became addicted to pain killers and it took a while to kick that, so be very careful with your meds.

I would be willing to do anything to rid those clusters and I pray for anyone that is going through it. It is no fun.
