I thought they were migraines

I don't remember a time without migraines. I have been hospitalized numerous times because of them - and stumped the dr.s because they often think I am having a brain bleed - because all the meds do not control the pain. Neurologists basically say I have every migraine there is. Even with them saying those things, they have not been able to find anything to help. Essentially, I end up having to be knocked out in hopes that I will wake up with less pain.

I would get breaks in frequency of episodes until about a year and a half ago. Now I am in constant pain. A friend was experiencing migraines and went to be checked. Come to find out she has Trigeminal Neuralgia. I asked what that was. Looked up all the symptoms and they went along with my symptoms. When I went into my Neurologist I asked them to look into it for me. I also looked up Suicide headaches.... I have never felt like I wanted to die until the last couple years where I do not get a break from pain. I have to hide in my room. My migraines were just not the same. Again, all the symptoms were hand in hand with mine. So my neurologist introduced me to Sphenocath. They said they do not think it will help but it is something to try. I am glad I tried becase it did ease some pain - but did not take it all away. Either way, some help is better than no help.

This is something that I have to live with and have all my life. The worse part is that it is something my kids are starting to experience too. In addition to that, my cousin contacted me letting me know that she has similar symptoms and asked about mine. Because of that I reached out to my cousins and asked if they or their kids experience these. There are over 25 of us that are dealing with migraines, cluster headaches. All from my one side of the family. That is a handful of us all in one family. Needless to say, I am invested in trying to find solutions that will work for myself and my family.
