CVS warrior

Year Condition Began: 1986

I first start with CVS after my first term at school at the very young age of 5. I would have an attack virtually every school holiday, normally being the first day.
It took about 12-13 years before we finally worked out what that it was CVS. We had to do our own research and presented the evidence to our family doctor who agreed with us.
As I have got old the attacks have got further apart sometimes even reaching 3 years without an attack but it's taking longer to get back to normal. Taking a minimum of a week to get my strength fully back.
The biggest problem I have had to battle is getting the A & E departments to understand what it is I'm in with. The quicker they give me anti sickness injections and get me on to IV drips the faster I can come round.
