9 years ago I hurt my neck and had to have surgery on my c5 and c6 after my surgery I was still having muscle spasms and I did not know what was going on my surgeon told me it would go away. Well my left shoulder started hurting me then I went to see a shoulder specialist he told me I needed shoulder surgery went and had shoulder surgery had that done. Still have problems with my shoulder and neck so I decided to go and see another neck specialist that's when he said he was going to send me to another specialist because I was having headaches and migraines and that's when the specialist told me I had cervical dystonia.  I was taking Botox the first two years of my diagnosis of cervical dystonia but when I got on disability with the state that all stopped. I even paid once out of pocket with my money it cost me $2,700 and I was getting it every 3 months there was no way I could keep that up. So I live on muscle relaxers and I use a TENS unit walking helps a lot. I go to pain management every 2 months. There is no support group around here so I go on facebook to talk to people that has the same condition that I have.
