Story about Ewings sarcoma .

Christopher's Story

Jan 27, 2019

By: Jennifer

Year Condition Began: 2011

My Son Christopher had just turned 3 years old when he was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma.
He underwent almost a year of chemo and 2 months of Proton Radiation. He is now 10 years old and over 6 years cancer free.
The Proton Radiation caused the growth platelets in his left femur to be damaged, therefore his leg is not growing as it should. This summer he will be having surgery to remove part of his femur and replace it with a magnetic rod.
Other than some emotional outbursts and his leg length discrepancy, we fortunately have not had any other issues.
